Steve Krohn Recognized as 2008 Leader's Leader

January 16, 2008: The Leadership Charlottesville Alumni Association (LCAA) presented its annual Leader's Leader Award to Steve Krohn from the Leadership Charlottesville class of 2000. Steve was recognized for his work in this community, which includes holding positions in the United Way including Large Employer Campaign Director, Campaign Chair, Executive Committee Board Chair and Past Board Chair, serving the Blue Ridge Chapter of the National MS Society, and his current role as Board Chair for the Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development (TJPED).

United Way Director Cathy Train commented in her strong endorsement that Steve "shows a wise use of humor and has the ability to stay with a difficult situation, working skillfully so that everyone feels heard and part of the solution." Mike Harvey of the TJPED worked closely with Steve in 2007 during a time of reorganization, and says Steve is a "fun guy and a fantastic chairman. He knows how to float at 30,000 feet and when to dive down." Steve has served this community in these ways while being fully engaged in a banking career; as the Managing Director of Virginia National Bank.
