Michael Gaffney recognized as 2007 Leaders' Leader
The Leadership Charlottesville Alumni Association (LCAA) presented its annual Leader's Leader Award to Michael A. Gaffney, President of Gaffney Homes. Susan McGinnis, past president of LCAA, presented the 2006 Leaders' Leader Award at the Leadership Charlottesville Alumni Association's annual luncheon meeting held Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the Greencroft Club. The Association recognized Mr. Gaffney, a 1992 graduate of the Leadership Charlottesville program, for the initiative and creative vision he has demonstrated in his many contributions to the Charlottesville community. Of particular note was his current role as Chairman of the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority and the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority and his work as Chairman of the Paramount Theater Board of Directors during the renovation. Michael is also a past president of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce and of the Blue Ridge Home Builders Association, and was named the Chamber Small Businessperson of the Year in 2004.
